Mini Chinrexes
We've always loved chinchilla patterned rabbits since we got Monty, our chinchilla Lionhead, but the trouble for us with Chinchillas is they're so big! Combined with this, and the gorgeous rex coats that I could just sit and stroke all day, the choice wasn't that hard when we decided we wanted to go into a second breed. As we've already discovered in the short period of time we've had the rexes, they're an incredible breed with fantastic personalities and great characters! We started out with four rabbits from Brian Wheatley, recommended to us when I first contacted the British Mini Rex Club in August 2015 enquiring about where to look for Mini Chinrex stock. They first arrived in February 2016, and our first rex show was be in March 2016.
Because our first and foremost breeding/exhibiting priority is and always will be the Lionheads, the Chinrexes will take a bit of a backseat in most cases. Due to this we probably won't have litters very regularly, so if you're looking to get a Mini Chinrex you would be best contacting someone who focuses on them a lot more (please contact us if you need pointing in the right direction). They're such beautiful rabbits that we can't wait to get them out onto the show table!
